Why this blog?

We are two lawyers practicing in various fields of transactional law in suburban Atlanta, Georgia.  The other practitioners at our firm do an admirable job of handling all of the litigation, the real estate transactions, the estate planning and the domestic and criminal work, leaving us to do what we love best: advising business owners on starting, running, growing and selling their businesses.  This line of work brings us into contact with issues which, frankly, could use some publicity written in readable English - entity choices for start-ups, employment law and policies, intellectual property protection and licensing, mergers and acquisitions.

By sharing some of the knowledge and experience that we've gained through our practices, we hope to provide a useful resource to entrepeneurs, executives and small and medium-sized employers.  We look forward to reaching out to our existing clients and informing them more efficiently than any other medium than a blog would allow.  We won't be providing legal advice, but we will be sharing legal knowledge.  Thanks for stopping by, and we'd love to hear from you.
